A vital element of the story of Canada and Fort Edmonton Park will be expanded with a new interpretative center. The Indigenous Experience will explore the story of the First Nations pre- and post- contact.

Set in immersive parklands with discovery trails, camps and an amphitheater used by live interpreters, the site includes an underground cultural hall, with media skies, a running creek, exhibits, camps and workshops.  A live performance with special effects and media will explore the cultural symbolism of ‘pehonan’, the ceremonial  meeting of the many tribes that passed along the Saskatchewan river.

The Indigenous Experience moves into design detail in 2013.
